Taken at Lava Bed National Monument ( [link] ), which is essentially where a bunch of volcanoes erupted/oozed over the last several hundred thousand years, leaving behind a really desolate landscape which is literally honeycombed with lava tubes (caves) and other neat formations. Considering the fact that my friend and i managed to take in about 10 or 12 of the caves, of 736 that have been documented as of 2007, there is probably a lot more to see here and it might merit a return visit.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
