On the hike out of the Point Reyes National Seashore (Wildcat campground, if you're curious), several stops were made in the interest of snapping some random photos. This one reminds me of something from the LOTR trilogy of films, or perhaps simply a mist shrouded enormous being consisting mostly of earth and vegetation.
After hiking around for a bit and eating minimal amounts of food, things start to look a bit weird, thats for sure. Everything slows down, all of the normal strings, strands and encumbrances fall away, and you find yourself in a strange puddle of calm which is really odd.
At least, that's how it works for me. The only not calm part of the entire experience is the fact that i happen to be more or less pathologically reluctant to shit in the woods, for whatever reason. wait, one big reason is the fact that i absolutely despise chemical toilets, much less digging a hole to drop a deuce.
This little quirk certainly adds to the fun of camping.
Maybe i should learn how to distinguish between the inside and the outside voice when i'm writing these descriptions, though. Hmm. Nahh. It just adds to the fun.
